HÀ NỘI — The Return to the Countryside Cycling Tournament, Gạo Hạt Ngọc Trời Cup, is scheduled to begin on May  一0.

For the first time the event will include the participation of cyclists aged  一 六- 二 二.

About  六 三 cyclists from eight domestic teams and one foreign team will compete over  一 一 stages, covering  九 三 九km, through  一 一 provinces and cities of the Mekong Delta, including Kiên Giang, Cà Mau, Bạc Liêu and Sóc Trăng.

They will begin at Ngọc Island in Phú Quốc, Kiên Giang Province and finish at Long Xuyên City in An Giang Province on May  一 九.

The eight-day event has a total cash prize of VNĐ 六00 million (US$ 二 六,000).

“After  二 三 years, the event is growing stronger. This year, the tournament will be open for U 二 二 cyclists. This is a good sign, as we need to invest in and develop young cyclists for Việt Nam’s professional cycling,” said Ngô Quang Vinh, deputy chairman of the Việt Nam Cycling and Motor Sport Federation.
